Who Won the $36 Million in Alberta? Meet Stacey Boyce the Logging-Truck Winner

Lottery NewsAlberta Lottery WinnerLotto 6/49 Jackpot 🕒 2 🗒️ 340

The $36 million Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball jackpot in Alberta was won by Stacey Boyce, a business owner who drives logging trucks and lives in Whitecourt. He was born and raised in Calgary and has built a life around hard work in the forestry and trucking industry, which makes his massive win feel especially life‑changing. The prize came from the October 15, 2025, Lotto 6/49 draw, where his ticket matched the winning Gold Ball number 30367074‑01, earning him the full $36 million.

Stacey Boyce bought his winning ticket at the Valley Mart store on 106 Market Street in Hinton, a small town he visits regularly. He explained that he often stops by the store to pick up propane, grab supplies, and play the lottery, and on that trip he bought a Quick Pick Gold Ball ticket for about $19. The store’s lottery terminal randomly generated the number sequence that ended up being the exact match for the jackpot, turning a routine errand into a seven‑figure win.

When the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) confirmed the win, Boyce was officially announced as the winner during a presentation in Calgary, where he stood beside his family and accepted an oversized cheque on camera. This event marked the moment the $36 million prize became real, with photos and media coverage showing how emotional and proud he was. The publicity helped spread the story across Alberta and reminded other players that major lottery wins really do happen in small communities.

Even with $36 million in the bank, Boyce has said he plans to stay grounded and keep working instead of walking away from his logging‑truck business. He has talked about using part of the money to buy more trucks, which could expand his operations and give him more stability. At the same time, he wants to invest the rest carefully, support his young daughter, and think about which charities and causes his family would like to help. This mix of practical planning and quiet generosity makes his story feel both inspiring and very human.

$20 Slot Method Explained

What is the $20 method on slots? (H2) The $20 method is a simple bankroll rule where you play each slot session with exactly $20, cash out when you are ahead, and stop or move on if the $20 is lost. This approach is popular with casual players because it creates a clear spending cap and a straightforward exit condition, making sessions predictable and easy to budget for. Many players split larger bankrolls into multiple $20 tranches to control losses and extend playtime while keeping stakes low.
